Microsoft documents that from 30 September 2026 Samsung Gallery no longer syncs directly with OneDrive: photos already backed up remain safe and reachable from OneDrive itself, but they stop appearing inside Samsung Gallery, and users who want continued backup are directed to turn on camera backup in the OneDrive app. Microsoft is clear that Gallery sync only ever worked with OneDrive personal accounts and not with work or school accounts, so the change lands on users who connected a personal account on a corporate handset rather than on your Microsoft 365 tenant, but it is still worth telling those users before the date arrives.\n\nFor Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk deployments this is an ordinary user app, not platform infrastructure. It can be disabled or uninstalled from the personal side, or simply left out of the work profile. Doing so takes OneDrive itself away, along with any Samsung Gallery sync still running before the September 2026 cut-off and any OneDrive camera backup the user relies on, but it is not expected to affect the stability of the rest of the device. If your organisation does use Microsoft 365, the better approach is to deploy and configure OneDrive deliberately through managed Google Play rather than to depend on the preinstalled
