That patch shows the receiver's protection can differ between OEM builds. It requests SHUTDOWN, DISABLE_KEYGUARD, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, VIBRATE and external storage permissions; this site aggregates permissions across observations rather than per build, so which builds declare them cannot be established.\n\nFor Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use no enrolment, policy or management role for it is identified in the sources cited here. It appears on rugged and fixed-purpose devices recorded here from Zebra, Datalogic, CipherLab, Crosscall and Elo Touch Solutions. In the AOSPA code, disabling this package stops the framework service that sets power-off alarms, so on such builds the expected effect is losing alarms while the device is switched off.
