A Polish voice pack for the Samsung text-to-speech engine, reported on devices as "SamsungTTS Polish Voice 1". Samsung does not document it by package name in the sources cited here, so its role is inferred from its label and package name: it appears to be voice data, not an app in its own right, that the Samsung engine (com.samsung.SMT, documented separately on this site) uses to speak Polish. It has no launcher icon, and in our sample it is signed by a single Samsung OEM key that is separate from the one that signs the device framework. Samsung documents that voices for its engine are managed under Settings, General management, Text-to-speech, where further voice data can be installed, so which voice packs are present can vary between devices. Version note: in our sample these packs only appear on Galaxy devices running Android 14 to 17, so behaviour on older releases is not covered here. No change in their role across those releases could be sourced. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use no enrolment or policy role is identified in the sources cited here. If it is the voice pack its label indicates, it only matters where the Samsung engine is the selected text-to-speech engine and spoken output is needed in this language, for example on a device used with a screen reader or read-aloud features. Where no spoken output is needed, or the device uses Google's engine or a different language, it would be expected to do little; disabling it would be expected to remove that voice until it is re-enabled or installed again. Check the selected engine and language before changing anything, and test on one device first.
