Its English label in our sample is recorded as both "Drawing assist" and "Creative studio", with localised equivalents in other locales (for example "Zeichnungs-Assistent" under de-de); this is a Samsung system package. Its labels match Samsung's Galaxy AI feature now documented as "Creative studio (Drawing assist)", which Samsung describes as creating new images from a sketch, photo, image or text, opened from the Edge panel or, on S Pen models, from Air command. Samsung's support pages state that it needs a network connection and a Samsung account sign-in, that generated images carry a visible AI watermark, and that when an image is generated from a drawing the drawing is sent to a server only to provide the feature and is not stored by Samsung. It can be switched on or off under Settings > Galaxy AI. The pages document the feature rather than naming this package, so the tie between the two rests on the labels and is an inference. In our sample it is recorded only on Samsung devices. Where this site holds signer data, it is signed by a Samsung OEM key that also signs the Android framework, a platform-level key. Its requested permissions include INTERNET, MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, SET_WALLPAPER, a Samsung account permission and binding permissions for several Samsung AI services. The exact release in which the name changed is not stated in the Samsung pages cited here. This site has only observed this package on devices reporting API 35 to 37, and this site's roll-up reports versions from 1.0.46.11 to 1.3.52.5; whether builds on Android 14 carried the feature under this package could not be established. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use, no enrolment or management role is identified in the sources cited here. If this package is the Creative studio component its labels indicate, it is a generative-image tool that sends user drawings to a Samsung server, which may be relevant to data-handling policy on corporate devices; Samsung documents a switch under Settings > Galaxy AI to turn the feature off. The effects of disabling the package itself could not be established from these sources, so test on a single device first.
