Shown on the device as "Samsung Language Core", this is a Samsung component with no launcher icon, signed in our sample by a Samsung OEM key. Its update description, as reproduced by a user on Samsung's own community forum, says it powers AI features in Samsung apps with language understanding and generation while running fully offline, so that data stays on the device. That fits Samsung's Galaxy AI support documentation, which offers a "Process data only on device" switch under Settings > Galaxy AI and says most translations are handled on the device itself. That support page does not name this package, and no Samsung source found lists which features call into it, so that mapping is not asserted here. Version note: Samsung says Galaxy AI needs One UI 6.1 or later on compatible models. In our sample this package appears only on Galaxy S and Z series devices running Android 15 to 17. This site's roll-up records versions from 1.0.00.26 to 4.1.01.19 and APK sizes from about 4.8 MB to about 3.2 GB; those figures do not establish what changed between builds. Whether it also shipped on One UI 6.1 (Android 14) builds, and how its role differs between those major versions, could not be sourced. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use, no enrolment or management role is identified in the sources cited here. Based on the description above, disabling it would be expected to stop on-device AI language features in Samsung apps from working locally, which matters most where an organisation requires AI processing to stay on the device rather than in Samsung's cloud.
