Shown as "Permission usage", this is Samsung's implementation of the Android Privacy Dashboard on Galaxy devices. It is a Settings surface rather than a launcher app, and in our sample it is not user-facing and is signed with the Samsung key that also signs the device framework. The permissions it holds line up with that role: START_VIEW_PERMISSION_USAGE, GET_RUNTIME_PERMISSIONS, REVOKE_RUNTIME_PERMISSIONS, QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES and INTERACT_ACROSS_USERS_FULL. Samsung's Knox documentation describes the security and privacy dashboard as giving insight into which applications have accessed permissions in the last 24 hours, together with a list of every application and the permissions it holds, and states that the dashboard uses safety features developed by Android. The underlying feature is the AOSP Privacy Dashboard, which Google documents as appearing in system settings on supported devices running Android 12 or higher and showing a timeline of app access to location, camera and microphone. Version note: the feature this package implements arrives with Android 12, and Samsung shipped its version in One UI 4 on Android 12. The target SDK range recorded for this package on the site runs from 31 (Android 12) to 37, so it has tracked releases since then rather than being frozen. Samsung has since reorganised where the dashboard lives, presenting it under a combined "Security and privacy" settings section; the exact One UI release in which that move happened could not be sourced, so confirm the location against the One UI version on your fleet. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use it has no part in enrolment, provisioning or policy enforcement. It is a transparency screen, and on a work profile it is one of the places a user can see what managed apps have accessed. Disabling it removes that visibility and risks leaving a broken entry in the Settings tree, so it is better left in place; control what apps can actually reach using permission-grant policy in your EMM instead.

It also signs the Android framework, so it is a platform-level key on its device(s). Inferred from the certificate appearing only on Samsung devices (508 packages, 10196 observations).
