Samsung Visual Cloud Core, a Samsung component preinstalled on Galaxy devices. In our sample it is signed by a Samsung OEM key that also signs the Android framework, a platform-level key, and no observation recorded here reports it as user-facing. SakiTech, linking to its Galaxy Store listing, describes it as the core component responsible for managing AI features related to cloud communication, and says that when an AI image is generated through a server, each application requests Samsung Visual Cloud Core and receives the generated image from it. Sam Lover's November 2024 report of a Galaxy Store update (version 2.0.04.6) describes it in similar terms. Samsung's own pages consulted here do not name the package. The permissions this site records for it include INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE; permissions named for Samsung Account's account manager, Samsung's AI core (CALL_CLOUD_UPDATED) and Samsung's diagmon diagnostic agent; and QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES, WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS, WRITE_SETTINGS, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW and MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. This site aggregates permissions across observations rather than per build, so which builds declare which of these cannot be established. For context on the features involved, Samsung's Photo assist guide says you must be signed in to a Samsung Account, that "your drawings are sent to a server when generating them as images", and that the transmitted data is processed to provide the feature and not stored by Samsung. Which Galaxy AI features call this package is not documented in the sources consulted, so any tie to a specific feature such as Sketch to image or Portrait studio is an inference from the descriptions above. Version note: Samsung's Photo assist guide is based on One UI 6.1.1, and Samsung states Portrait Studio is available on devices running Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 or higher. In our sample the package is listed only on devices running API 34 to API 37, and this site's roll-up reports oldest and newest version names of 2.0.05.17 and 3.0.02.16. What changed between those versions could not be sourced. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use the relevant question is data leaving the device. Samsung Knox documentation describes Galaxy AI as processed on-device and in the cloud, states that features processing data in the cloud may use it for model training, and documents Knox Service Plugin policies to allow processing only on device, to block individual Galaxy AI operations, or to block all Galaxy AI (the blocking policies need Knox 3.11 or later; the documentation's stated scope is Galaxy S24 series devices on One UI 6.1 or later). Those policies are the documented control. If this package is the cloud component the descriptions above indicate, disabling it could stop cloud-dependent AI image features working; what else depends on it could not be sourced, so treat it as caution and test per device.
