Their names point at the same AOSP mechanism: the Wi-Fi module's resources APK holds the scan schedules config_wifiDisconnectedScanIntervalScheduleSec and config_wifiConnectedScanIntervalScheduleSec as overridable arrays inside the WifiCustomization overlayable, with defaults of 20, 40, 80 and 160 seconds. A longer interval scans less often, which favours battery life, and a shorter one favours noticing a better access point sooner. Samsung does not document what either package contains or what selects between them, so that is the mechanism these names point at rather than a sourced description of their contents. Version note: as with its sibling, it is recorded here only on API 34 to 36 builds, that is Android 14 through Android 16, at version 1.0 throughout, and the Wi-Fi module has been delivered as an APEX since Android 11. The release at which Samsung introduced this pair could not be sourced. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use the advice matches its sibling. This is Wi-Fi infrastructure with no enrolment or management role, it exposes nothing a user can open, and disabling it offers no benefit while risking undocumented changes to scan behaviour.
