MFContents, a small Samsung-signed system package with no launcher entry in any observation recorded here. No Samsung documentation describing it was found, and no source consulted explains what "MF" stands for, so its purpose is described here only as far as the permissions it requests allow. Those permissions are all about media. It requests the platform permissions to read images and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO and READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED), read and write access to Samsung's media provider (com.samsung.android.providers.media), to the Samsung Gallery provider (com.sec.android.gallery3d.provider2) and to the CMH data provider (com.samsung.cmh.data), plus a Samsung SEM_MEDIA_CONTENTS permission and RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, the permission an app needs to be told when the device has finished booting. It also requests a read permission in its own namespace (com.samsung.mfcontents.data.READ). Taken together this is consistent with a background helper that works with the device's photo and video library alongside Samsung's Gallery and media components, but that is an inference from the permission list, not a documented description, and what it actually does with that access could not be sourced. Version note: in this site's sample it is observed only on Samsung devices at API 35 and above (API 35 to 37), with version names from 1.0.01.1 to 1.2.00.6 and a size of roughly 300 KB to 490 KB. That suggests a component introduced with Samsung's Android 15 software, but it is an observation about this database's devices rather than a published introduction version, and no source establishes when Samsung added it. Where signer data is recorded here it is signed by a Samsung key that also signs the framework. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use it has no role in enrolment or policy and exposes nothing interactive. Because its function and its dependants are undocumented, the effect of disabling it could not be established, so no disable rating is given here; test on a single device before acting on it.

It also signs the Android framework, so it is a platform-level key on its device(s). Inferred from the certificate appearing only on Samsung devices (580 packages, 11729 observations).
