"My Files", the file manager preinstalled on Samsung Galaxy devices and signed by a Samsung OEM key in our sample. Samsung describes it as the equivalent of File Explorer or Finder for the phone: it sorts stored files into categories, browses internal storage, an SD card and connected cloud locations such as Samsung Cloud and Google Drive, analyses storage to surface duplicate, large and unused files, and, on phones, holds deleted items in a Trash folder for 30 days before permanently removing them. Samsung states that tablets do not have the Trash feature in My Files, so a deletion there cannot be undone. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk work the relevance is access rather than function. A general-purpose file browser lets a user reach local storage, removable media and any linked cloud accounts, which is usually unwanted on a dedicated or single-purpose device, so it is a common candidate for exclusion from a kiosk allowlist. Where the app is preinstalled rather than deployed, EMMs handle it as a system app: in Intune, for example, a preinstalled package is added as an Android Enterprise system app by package name and then assigned as Uninstall to disable it, or as Required to re-enable it. Version note: our sample records it on API 28 through 37 with app versions from 13.1 to 15.6, so it is updated with One UI rather than pinned to one Android release. We did not find a sourced change to its role across Android versions; the cloud integrations and the 30-day Trash described above come from Samsung's current support pages and may not match older One UI builds.

• APK size ranges from 19.1 MB to 74.9 MB across the reporting device profiles, so the build differs substantially between them.
• Reported as an updated system app on 14 of 15 profiles - a newer build is installed over the one in the system image there.
