Labelled "Sound quality and effects" on device, this is Samsung's audio effects component on Galaxy devices. It corresponds to the settings panel Samsung documents at Settings > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects, which carries Dolby Atmos, the equaliser with its Normal, Pop, Classic, Jazz, Rock and Custom presets, the UHQ upscaler, and Adapt sound for personalised hearing profiles. In our sample it is Samsung-signed by the key that also signs the framework on those devices. Note on naming: the package name carries "SoundAlive", while Samsung's current support material refers only to the user-facing "Sound quality and effects" name and does not use SoundAlive at all. Which options actually appear is device-dependent rather than purely version-dependent - Samsung ties the UHQ upscaler to compatible connected headphones, for example. A specific Android or One UI release at which this package's role changed could not be sourced. For Android Enterprise, EMM and kiosk use it has no enrolment, policy or management role, and no user-visible launcher entry of its own. Disabling it should be expected to remove the sound quality and effects settings and the audio processing they control, which matters on devices used for media playback, audio-based signage or voice.
